The third “Week of Sharing and Witnessing Orthodox Faith” will take place in Taizé from 4 to 11 August 2024.

Everyone will take part in the regular programme for the meetings in Taizé with the common prayers, Bible introductions followed by sharing in small groups and practical tasks.

Orthodox liturgical celebrations

  • □ Monday 5 August, 9.30pm: Vigil of the feast of Transfiguration, Taizé village church
  • □ Tuesday 6 August, 7am: Divine Liturgy for the feast of Transfiguration, village church
  • □ Friday 9 August, 8.30pm: Divine Liturgy presided by Metropolitan Dimitrios of Paris (Ecumenical Patriarchate), Church of Reconciliation

Sharing Orthodox Faith

  • □ Monday 5.30pm, Wednesday 2pm, Thursday 5.30pm, Friday 5.30pm meetings among Orthodox Christians on various topics (“Finding one’s place in a parish”, “Ecumenical and interfaith dialogue from an Orthodox perspective” etc.) according to questions and interests.

Witnessing Orthodox Faith: workshops open for all led by Orthodox Christians

  • Transfiguring Death. The Transfiguration of Jesus in the Gospel of Mark in Dialogue with the Orthodox Icon of the Transfiguration.

  • Participating in the Life of God. The Transfiguration of Jesus and our own Participation in the Life of God, according to the Experience and Teaching of Saint Gregory Palamas (14th century).

  • Friday 9 August, 5.30pm
  • The Transfiguration of our Life. Eucharistic Liturgy as an Experience of the Kingdom of God.
  • With Archpriest Serge Sollogoub, France
  • Saturday 10 August 3.15pm
  • A New Way of Being Church which Transforms our Lives.
  • With Young Ukrainians present in Taizé or connected by video.
  • Saturday 10 August 5.30pm
  • Created in the Image of God: Loving and Being Loved.
  • With Priestmonk Joan Lena, Albania/Netherlands.

Please register online for the week or the weekend. (If you are just coming for the day of Saturday, registration is not necessary. Meal tickets are available at the reception).
