2024 | A Taizé Brother in Canada and the United States

A Taizé brother will be traveling in Canada and the U.S.A in October and November 2024. Two weekends for young adults between the ages of 21 and 40 are scheduled: one weekend in Florida (Friday evening to Saturday evening) and the other in San Francisco (Friday evening to Sunday midday). Each includes an evening of prayer open to people of all generations.

The Brother preparing for this journey said: “I’m grateful that, this year, I will get to meet young adults in the San Diego area committed to providing care for refugees and migrants at the American-Mexican border. A number of prayers, both in Canada and the U.S., are taking place in university settings. Several college groups spent a week at Taizé in France in 2024. The Taizé brother meeting weekly with groups from Canada and the United States said: “Seeing the wonderful follow-up in many universities, I can only encourage those involved in university chaplaincy ministry to consider organizing a group to come to Taizé in 2025.”
See the list of prayers and gathers below to find out if anything is happening near you.
This summer at Taizé we saw a significant increase of young adults taking part in the weekly meetings. Could it be that more people are becoming attentive to the fact that in these challenging times it’s not a good idea to isolate? We need to be together to search, to pray, to go together to the wellsprings of hope and trust.
