Jesus asked his disciples: “Who do people say I am?” “Some say John the Baptist,” they answered, “some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” “But you,” he said, “who do you say I am?” Peter spoke up and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

God did not make death and takes no pleasure in the destruction of the living. God created all things for life.

Paul wrote to the believers in Thessalonica: Your faith has been a great encouragement to us in the middle of our own distress and hardship.

Jesus said: Foxes have holes and the birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.

A week after the resurrection Jesus came, stood among his discples and said, “Peace be with you.” Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here and see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it in my side. Do not be unbelieving any more but believe.”

Christ is the image of the unseen God; in him all things have been created, in heaven and upon the earth, both the visible and the invisible.

Through Christ you now have faith in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory for this very purpose — that your faith and hope should be in God.

Jesus said: The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. So pray that the Lord of the harvest may send out workers into his harvest.
