Highlights of the programme
- every morning, conferences and forums with experts in different fields related to ecology - these meetings will be open to those who have elected to follow the environmental theme through the week.
- every afternoon, workshops which are open to all participants
- daily practical and artistic activities in “Wanagi Tacanku”
- at various times of the week, sharing in small groups to deepen our reflection
Themes of the morning meetings
The programme will be developed over the next few months, but here is a first list of possible themes for the morning meetings:
- The urgency of climate change
- A scientific perspective to better understand current disruptions
- Hope for creation: believers in the face of ecological challenges
- Faced with the climate emergency what initiatives can we take?
- Young people appeal to political leaders
Two mornings will likely be devoted to practical initiatives in specific fields: biodiversity, energy, recycling, sea pollution, etc.
During the next few months, details of the speakers will be published on the social networks and the Taizé website as and when they confirm their participation.
Workshops at Wanagi Tacanku
Since 2015, Wanagi Tacanku has been the place in Taizé dedicated to artistic creation. The idea would be to offer, from Spring onwards, a practical and artistic space to move towards an environmentally friendly way of life. To do this, we are looking for young people or associations willing to make practical suggestions or offer some help (see below).
To participate in the event
It is possible to register for this meeting, as usual from the “Contact and Registration” page.
When you register, please note in the commentary box that you want to take part in the special programme.
To participate in the preparation
If you would like to help with the preparation of this week, or if you would like to suggest a theme or the name of a guest speaker, you can write to solidarity taize.fr.
