I rejoice that so many young adults from Britain and Europe will be gathering for the Taizé Meeting in Birmingham. Inner life and Solidarity are essential themes.

“Po Światowych Dniach Młodzieży w Krakowie i po Brexit’cie spotkanie w Birmingham będzie dla młodych wspólnym budowaniem.” — Ks. Stefan Wylężek, Rektor Polskiej Misji Katolickiej w Anglii i Walii
(As a follow-up to World Youth Day in Krakow and in the aftermath of the Brexit vote, the meeting in Birmingham will be a shared experience which encourages young adults. —Mgr. Stefan Wylężek, Vicar Delegate for Poles in England and Wales)
I know that the churches in Birmingham, we try to work together, to witness together, to do as much as we can together, but I know that we will benefit tremendously from this wonderful gathering of prayer. We entrust the life of our city to the Lord Jesus in prayer and we know that the gathering of young people from many different churches, different traditions, will bring great strength to that prayer for the city.
